What you'll do:

As a Senior SAP Material Management Analyst in Penang, you’ll be at the centre of exciting SAP MM initiatives that propel the organisation forward. Your daily journey will involve connecting with business owners to capture evolving requirements, designing robust system solutions tailored for maximum impact, and delivering outcomes that exceed expectations. You’ll use your deep configuration experience to enhance material management processes while ensuring everything integrates smoothly across SAP modules. By crafting detailed documentation like Functional Specification Documents and Business Process Procedures, you’ll keep everyone aligned. • Plan and execute SAP Material Management (MM) implementation, development, and support activities while ensuring quality delivery within agreed timelines.
• Collaborate closely with business owners to understand new requirements, gather information efficiently, and translate needs into effective system solutions.
• Provide hands-on configuration expertise in SAP MM to optimise processes and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules as well as external applications.
• Develop comprehensive Functional Specification Documents and Business Process Procedures (BPP) for all proposed solutions to facilitate clear communication among stakeholders.
• Support procurement systems by troubleshooting issues, resolving user queries promptly, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with organisational goals.
• Conduct thorough analysis of business processes to identify improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements that add value.
• Communicate complex requirements clearly and concisely to management, users, and vendors using strong oral and written skills.
• Participate actively in training sessions or workshops to share knowledge and foster continuous learning within the team.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout all phases of SAP MM project lifecycle.

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent qualification demonstrating foundational knowledge relevant to the role.
• Over five years of direct experience supporting procurement systems or managing projects related to SAP MM module implementations.
• Hands-on expertise configuring or supporting SAP MM module functions within complex enterprise environments.
• Exceptional business process analysis skills enabling you to assimilate information rapidly and communicate requirements effectively.
• Ability to create clear Functional Specification Documents and Business Process Procedures for technical solutions provided.
• Strong oral, written, and inter-personal communication skills allowing you to interact comfortably with management levels, end-users, and external vendors alike.
• Proficiency in Japanese language is considered an added advantage for enhanced collaboration across international teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to collaborative teamwork within diverse groups focused on achieving shared objectives.
• Experience integrating SAP MM module with other SAP modules or external applications is highly desirable for this position.
