What you'll do:

As a Mechanical Engineer based in Petaling Jaya, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mechanical design packages for critical infrastructure projects. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across various regions, ensuring that every aspect of mechanical design—from initial concept through testing and commissioning—is executed with precision. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance at every stage of the project lifecycle, supporting both factory engineers and subcontracting staff. Your ability to document requirements accurately using industry-standard tools will be essential in maintaining project integrity.

  • Produce comprehensive Issued For Construction drawing packages that meet project requirements and industry standards for critical cooling solutions.
  • Sustain engineering efforts by maintaining current production designs and implementing improvements based on feedback from cross-functional teams.
  • Review detailed Mechanical Bills of Quantities to ensure accuracy and alignment with project specifications for data centre installations.
  • Provide clear technical guidance to factory engineers, subcontractors, project managers, quality assurance teams, safety engineers, and procurement staff throughout all project phases.
  • Develop thorough testing and commissioning documents that support seamless installation and operational readiness of mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with local and regional engineering teams to share best practices, resolve challenges efficiently, and deliver successful outcomes for infrastructure projects.
  • Support manufacturing tests by debugging, validating, and developing procedures related to cooling and ventilation systems for data centres.
  • Document functional requirements clearly and maintain up-to-date design records using tools such as Revit or similar software.
  • Participate in regular project meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
