Production Manager Are you a seasoned manufacturing professional with a passion for precision and operational excellence? We’re seeking a Production Manager to oversee end-to-end operations in a high-performance precision manufacturing environment. Based in Selangor.

What You’ll Do

As the Production Manager, you will take charge of daily operations and play a pivotal role in optimizing performance across the shop floor. Your key responsibilities include:

• Leading daily production activities across forming, machining, and downstream finishing processes.
• Driving production planning and execution to meet delivery timelines while optimizing manpower, equipment, and material utilization.
• Monitoring and improving KPIs such as output, yield, scrap rate, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Ensuring product quality and consistency in line with engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Managing and developing a team of supervisors, engineers, technicians, and operators.
• Collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve process and equipment-related issues.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield enhancement, defect reduction, and process stability.
• Strengthening process control across forming, machining, and secondary operations to minimize variability.
• Supporting new product introduction (NPI), process validation, and production ramp-up activities.
• Overseeing tooling and equipment readiness in collaboration with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Leading root cause analysis (RCA) efforts and implementing corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for production issues.
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards within the production environment.
• Driving adoption of data-driven manufacturing practices using MES systems and performance tracking tools.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for an experienced leader who thrives in precision-driven environments. The ideal candidate will have:

Education:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Experience:

• 7–12 years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 3–5 years in a production leadership role.
• Proven expertise in precision manufacturing environments such as metal forming, machining, or component production.
• Strong exposure to process control, yield improvement, and scrap reduction strategies.
• Experience managing high-mix or technically complex production environments is advantageous.

Key Competencies:

• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage shop floor operations and multi-layer teams effectively.
• Solid understanding of production planning, capacity management, and KPI-driven performance metrics.
• Hands-on problem-solving capabilities for addressing process and equipment challenges.
• Familiarity with structured quality systems (e.g., ISO standards).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven manufacturing environment.
