What you'll do:
As a Design Manager in Solar System (Commercial and Industrial), you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of talented PV system designers and engineers. Your expertise will guide the end-to-end design process of high-quality solar projects. You will conduct site audits, collaborate for accurate material estimation, work closely with various stakeholders, maintain design standards, define long-term strategies, oversee document preparations, and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Lead and mentor a team of PV system designers and engineers to deliver high-quality solar projects
- Oversee the end-to-end design process, including feasibility studies, layout drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical reports
- Conduct and manage site audits to gather structural and electrical data for system design
- Ensure accurate material estimation and Bill of Quantities (BOM) preparation in collaboration with the QS department
- Work closely with M&E consultants, clients, and stakeholders to ensure optimal system designs and successful project execution
- Develop and maintain design standards, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international best practices
- Define long-term design strategies, drive innovation, and improve market positioning for solar energy solutions
- Oversee the preparation of technical and tender documents for consultant tendering and project submissions
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and policies in the solar PV industry
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Design Manager role brings a wealth of experience in PV system design along with proven leadership skills. With your bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field, you have spent at least 5-10 years honing your skills in this industry. Your GCPV certification would be highly advantageous. Your extensive experience in designing solar energy systems for commercial and industrial projects sets you apart.

- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in PV system design
- At least 2–3 years in a managerial or leadership role
- GCPV certification is highly preferred
- Extensive experience in designing solar energy systems for commercial and industrial projects
