What you'll do:
As an Assistant Manager in Wealth Management Operations focused on back-office functions for the Singapore market, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations across a broad spectrum of financial products. Your responsibilities will span from managing complex settlements involving futures trading and bonds to overseeing structured deposits and fixed deposit processes. You will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of accuracy during transaction processing while proactively addressing any exceptions or reconciliation issues that arise. - Oversee the complete processing and settlement lifecycle for wealth and treasury products such as futures trading, bonds, reverse repos, coupon events, structured deposits, fixed deposits, internal fund transfers, and account closures to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Supervise the full coupon lifecycle from event capture through rate validation to accruals, payments, and reconciliation to maintain precise records and compliance.
- Manage all aspects of reverse repo operations including trade booking, collateral handling, interest computation, as well as unwind or maturity processing to minimise risk exposure.
- Handle futures trades by managing margin requirements, daily settlements, expiry processes, and rollovers while maintaining close alignment with custodian and counterparty records.
- Ensure bond transactions are processed accurately by matching confirmations against custodians’ data and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Direct the processing of structured deposit placements from initial booking through valuation events to maturity while safeguarding operational integrity at every stage.
- Investigate settlement discrepancies or failed trades by collaborating with relevant stakeholders to resolve reconciliation breaks efficiently.
- Lead a team of back-office staff by allocating workloads effectively to meet daily cut-off times while providing regular training sessions and performance feedback to foster professional growth.
- Review and authorise transactions under the Maker-Checker framework as the designated checker/approver to uphold rigorous control standards.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities that enhance operational efficiency while maintaining up-to-date standard operating procedures.

- Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processing for futures trading, bonds (primary/secondary), reverse repos (including collateral management), coupon handling (from event capture to payment), structured deposits (placement through maturity), fixed deposits (processing), internal fund transfers (execution), and account closure procedures (finalisation).
- In-depth familiarity with the Singapore market landscape alongside strong working knowledge of MAS regulatory frameworks enables you to navigate compliance requirements confidently.
- Technical proficiency with core banking systems such as Avaloq or Temenos; treasury platforms like Murex; plus advanced MS Excel skills supports your ability to manage data-intensive tasks efficiently; exposure to workflow automation tools such as RPA or Power Automate is highly advantageous.
