What you'll do:
As an Equity Research Analyst, you will immerse yourself in the world of equities by conducting rigorous analysis on companies and sectors assigned to you. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve gathering market intelligence through company visits and industry events, producing insightful research reports that inform investment decisions, and actively participating in team meetings where your input will help shape portfolio strategies. You will also play a vital role in maintaining accurate records for compliance purposes while assisting senior colleagues with internal reporting requirements or special projects. - Conduct thorough fundamental analysis, valuations, and monitor developments across assigned sectors and stocks to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Attend at least 25 company visits, analyst briefings, conferences, or other relevant meetings annually to gather critical market intelligence.
- Produce detailed investment research reports that meet internal standards for quality and breadth of coverage, ensuring timely delivery throughout the year.
- Write a minimum of 25 company or sector research reports per year or as otherwise set by management targets.
- Strive for outperformance in stock and sector recommendations by providing well-researched insights and actionable ideas.
- Continuously monitor and update information on stocks within assigned sectors in the stock universe to maintain accuracy and relevance.
- Proactively contribute market inputs and generate innovative investment ideas during team discussions and strategy sessions.
- Deliver clear verbal presentations at investment meetings or when called upon by superiors to communicate findings effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date records required by the department such as gift declarations and broker activity logs in accordance with company policy.
- Assist the Head of Equities with preparation of internal reports, special projects, marketing materials, proposals, or any ad-hoc assignments as needed.
