What you'll do:
- Prepare manual journals for related activities ensuring all entries are supported by comprehensive documentation, maintaining accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
- Reconcile global accounts payable and receivable transactions against partner organisations, identifying discrepancies and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
- Design and generate detailed reports to monitor open balances and transactions, providing clear visibility into financial positions for management review.
- Track, investigate, and resolve differences in account balances by engaging with relevant teams across regions, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate closely with regional central accountants to ensure proper logging, distribution of invoices, and swift resolution of outstanding matters.
- Raise, track, and document various ad-hoc invoices between business entities, maintaining meticulous records for audit purposes.
- Prepare account reconciliations using Blackline software within established deadlines, ensuring completeness and adherence to best practices.
- Respond promptly to queries from local country finance teams and other stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a service-oriented approach.
- Provide audit support as required by preparing requested documentation and facilitating smooth audit processes.
- Support regional and global reporting requirements including monthly balance sheet reviews, profit & loss flux analysis, and participate actively in close processes.
What you bring:
- Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance roles within multinational environments or audit firms is essential for success in this position.
- Demonstrated expertise in indirect taxes ensures you can navigate complex regulatory landscapes confidently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP standards enables you to maintain high levels of accuracy in all financial reporting activities.
- Excellent communication skills paired with diplomacy allow you to build positive relationships with colleagues across cultures while resolving queries efficiently.
- A flexible mindset combined with a 'can do' attitude empowers you to adapt quickly during critical periods such as month-end closes or public holidays when additional hours may be required.
- Advanced proficiency in reporting tools including MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), Word, PowerPoint as well as PowerBI or Power Query enhances your ability to deliver actionable insights.
- A Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting or being part-qualified ACCA/CIMA demonstrates your commitment to professional excellence; equivalent qualifications are also considered valuable.
- Experience using JDE (JD Edwards), Blackline reconciliation software or W-Desk is advantageous but not mandatory for applicants who show willingness to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally on occasion supports effective collaboration with global teams when needed.
