Project Management Lead (Coupa) - 1 Year Contract

A leading global organisation is seeking a Project Management Lead which has Coupa experience. This will be a 1 year contract project management role.

What you'll do:

As Project Management Lead, you will be responsible for orchestrating every aspect of the Coupa workstream within a transformative finance programme.

  • Own and maintain the integrated project plan for the Coupa workstream, managing milestones, dependencies, and delivery phases from inception through deployment.
  • Coordinate sequencing and delivery of all Coupa-related tasks to ensure alignment with broader programme strategies and rollout schedules.
  • Represent the Coupa workstream in various programme forums, acting as the primary liaison between Coupa and other critical streams
  • Identify risks, issues, and interdependencies related to Coupa; proactively manage these through mitigation planning and timely escalation with clear impact assessments.
  • Develop comprehensive status reports suitable for executive audiences that clearly communicate progress, risks, capacity constraints, and readiness levels.
  • Lead planning and governance of Pre-Track activities for Coupa, ensuring early engagement with local business units and consistent execution of solution walkthroughs and readiness checkpoints.
  • Establish clear ways of working by developing templates, governance artefacts, and best practice documentation that support ongoing project success.

What you bring:

To excel as Project Management Lead, your background should reflect substantial experience in steering complex projects within large organisations—ideally those undergoing significant digital or process transformations.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or a related field is required to underpin your understanding of core business processes.
  • 8–10 years’ experience managing large-scale finance or ERP/P2P transformation programmes demonstrates your ability to handle complex multi-stream projects successfully.
  • Proven track record overseeing system workstreams involving testing oversight, data migration planning, cutover governance, and stakeholder engagement within enterprise environments.
  • Experience collaborating with system integrators, central PMOs, change management teams, and multiple business units ensures you can navigate matrixed organisations effectively.
  • Exceptional planning skills combined with strong written/verbal communication abilities enable you to produce executive-ready reports and present confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Coupa P2P/Expense design is highly desirable as it allows you to add value quickly during solution walkthroughs and deployment phases.
