  • Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labour, and overhead in accordance with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
  • Lead month-end close activities including cost allocations, inventory valuation, accruals, account reconciliations, and preparation of variance analyses highlighting key cost drivers impacting performance.
  • Support additional reporting requirements for month-end, quarterly, and yearly close by delivering comprehensive financial insights.
  • Manage product costing and inventory-related analysis to inform business and operational decisions while coordinating annual physical inventory counts.
  • Ensure proper valuation and documentation of inventory by maintaining complete audit trails for all costing activities.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes by monitoring actual performance against targets and explaining variances.
  • Identify compliance issues or control weaknesses within costing processes and propose improvements to strengthen internal controls.
  • Prepare cost-related schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits as well as participate in special projects such as system upgrades or e-invoicing implementation.
