What you'll do:

As Risk Officer Manager or Senior Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play an integral part in transforming how risk is managed across all facets of local operations.

• Advise the General Manager and executive leadership on all aspects of risk policy, identification, assessment, calibration, and decision-making within an internationally established risk appetite framework.
• Maintain assigned risk appetite statements and tolerance levels for the country, supporting strategic objectives while ensuring alignment with international governance requirements.
• Support the continuous evolution of comprehensive risk governance frameworks across clinical, finance (including SOX), IT, legal, operations, compliance, and people services functions.
• Oversee second line assurance activities by integrating clinical, operational, legal, compliance, finance, and IT risks into a unified framework as defined by headquarters.
• Manage the Country Risk Committee chaired by the General Manager, overseeing governance for risk, compliance, clinical operations, legal matters, IT, finance (including SOX), people services, incident reporting, policy approval processes, and maintenance of the country risk register.
• Champion a proactive approach to risk management by driving cultural change initiatives that embed risk awareness into daily operations and business performance.
• Deliver training sessions to in-country leadership teams to ensure comprehensive understanding and effective implementation of all aspects of the risk framework.
• Collaborate with internal audit teams to support timely development of management action plans and process improvements following audit findings.

• Demonstrated experience in corporate governance or risk management within reputable organisations is essential for success in this role.
• A relevant academic background—such as a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, psychology or social sciences—is required; a master’s degree or formal qualification in risk management is advantageous.
