Looking for an experienced FP&A Specialist!

An expansion is happening in an established organisation in Bangsar South! They are seeking a FP&A Specialist to join their collaborative finance team. You will be at the heart of business partnership, delivering high-quality and timely reporting within a robust framework, and contributing directly to operational excellence.


What you'll do:

  • Define, monitor, and continuously improve key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment between sales activities and operational objectives across multiple business units.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis versus plan (standard cost), plan year, and prior year, providing clear explanations of results in line with established thresholds to support informed management decisions.
  • Analyse business performance data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement, recommending actionable improvements that drive efficiency.
  • Evaluate operating processes regularly, optimising workflows and suggesting enhancements that contribute to overall organisational effectiveness.
  • Monitor monthly expenditures closely to prevent overspending beyond planned or approved levels, ensuring financial discipline throughout the business.
  • Interpret complex financial and operational data sets to provide valuable insights that support strategic decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
  • Review operating results before closing periods to minimise errors and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Prepare comprehensive performance management presentations, track action items diligently, assign clear ownership, and follow up as required to ensure accountability.
  • Drive automation initiatives and lead process improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and the quality of reporting deliverables.


What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration is essential for this position as it provides the foundational knowledge required for success.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in finance, accounting or controlling roles ensures you bring practical understanding of industry standards.
  • Proven experience using SAP and Power BI is mandatory since this system underpins many core processes within the organisation’s finance function.
  • Advanced IT skills including proficiency with spreadsheets, software tools, and automated accounting systems facilitate seamless workflow management.
  • Prior experience in business partnering is considered an advantage as it enhances your ability to connect cross-functional teams through collaborative problem-solving.
