What you'll do:

As Head of Finance you will play a central role in shaping the financial direction of the organisation across Malaysia and Singapore. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve overseeing all aspects of financial operations from statutory reporting to taxation management.   • Oversee all financial operations for Malaysia and Singapore, ensuring timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings while maintaining high standards of compliance.
  • Prepare, review, and present management reports, financial statements, and board reports to provide clear insights into business performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with MFRS, SFRS, and statutory requirements by managing annual audits and liaising with external auditors.
  • Lead all corporate tax matters including Corporate Income Tax, GST (Singapore), SST (Malaysia), Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing documentation, and monitor changes in tax legislation.
  • Work collaboratively with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities during tax audits and investigations to ensure smooth processes.
  • Develop robust tax planning strategies that align with regulatory requirements while supporting business objectives.
  • Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process by monitoring financial performance against budgets and recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to improve profitability and operational efficiency across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage treasury functions including cash flow optimisation, banking relationships, financing facilities, foreign exchange exposure, and liquidity management.
  • Establish strong internal controls, policies, governance frameworks, identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Partner closely with commercial and operational teams to support strategic initiatives such as investment analysis, business expansion projects, financial modelling, and commercial recommendations.
  • Lead, coach, develop the finance team by fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline is required for this role as it forms the foundation of your technical expertise.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA or CIMA demonstrates your commitment to high standards in accounting practice.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in a finance leadership position ensures you bring depth of knowledge to the team.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysia and Singapore tax regulations including Corporate Income Tax, SST (Malaysia), GST (Singapore), Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing enables you to manage complex cross-border issues effectively.
  • Solid grasp of MFRS and SFRS reporting standards allows you to ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience managing statutory audits as well as regulatory compliance showcases your ability to navigate challenging environments successfully.
  • Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, treasury management and financial planning highlights your analytical skills.
