A long established company operating in the distribution and logistics industry is seeking a Head of Finance to oversee all financial operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight. What you'll do:

• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide reliable information for strategic planning and decision-making across the organisation.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure alignment with organisational goals while nurturing a culture of transparency and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls by implementing robust procedures that mitigate financial risks and safeguard assets.
• Lead and mentor the finance team by providing guidance, support, and training opportunities that enhance performance and maintain operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that drive profitability, growth, and sustainable value creation for all stakeholders.
• Optimise financial processes by identifying areas for improvement, streamlining workflows, and promoting best practices throughout the department.
• Monitor cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and resource allocation to ensure the organisation remains financially resilient.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualifications in Accounting, Business or Finance
• At least 15 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles with proven capabilities in guiding teams through complex challenges.
• Excellent analytical skills allow you to interpret complex information sensitively while considering its impact on various stakeholders.
• Strong commercial insights and business partnerning capability to identify growth areas for the company
