Group Financial Controller

A multinational organisation is seeking a highly experienced Group Financial Controller to oversee its global finance controllership function. This strategic role offers you the opportunity to partner directly with senior stakeholders and regional finance teams, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting across multiple international markets.

What you'll do

• Oversee the preparation, consolidation, and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual Group financial reports for all global entities, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements.
• Establish robust financial governance frameworks by strengthening internal controls, accounting policies, and balance sheet integrity while maintaining adherence to regulatory standards.
• Lead external audit processes as well as tax governance and financial compliance activities by partnering closely with auditors and regional finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives through process standardisation, automation of workflows, ERP system optimisation, and ongoing improvements across the global finance function.
• Mentor regional finance teams by promoting collaboration, accountability, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence throughout international operations.
• Support the development of best practices in financial reporting and control procedures to ensure consistency across all regions.
• Monitor changes in regulatory environments globally to ensure proactive compliance management within all business units.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline coupled with a professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA or ICAEW (or equivalent) is essential for this role.
• At least 12 years of progressive experience in finance roles including substantial exposure to Group financial controllership within multinational organisations is required.
• Deep technical expertise in Group consolidation processes, IFRS standards application, statutory reporting procedures as well as financial governance frameworks is vital.
• Proven track record of leading geographically dispersed finance teams while collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders across multiple countries is necessary.
• Exceptional mentoring skills with the ability to foster collaboration among team members from diverse backgrounds are important for building cohesive regional teams.
