What you'll do:

As Financial Controller based in Kuala Lumpur, you will take ownership of all aspects of finance operations within Malaysia. • Serve as a strategic partner to the Country Leadership Team by providing comprehensive financial insights and recommendations that support critical business decisions.
• Drive overall business performance by leading financial planning, analysis, and performance management processes that align with organisational objectives.
• Support commercial and operational initiatives by evaluating their financial implications and investment opportunities to maximise profitability.
• Guide efforts on profitability improvement, cost optimisation, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable business growth.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes while monitoring financial performance against set targets.
• Develop detailed financial models and scenario analyses to underpin strategic initiatives across various business units.
• Prepare and present monthly management reports as well as business performance reviews to senior stakeholders for informed decision-making.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all statutory financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards and group reporting requirements.
• Maintain strong internal controls by ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
• Lead, coach, and develop the country finance team to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards including statutory compliance requirements ensures accuracy in all deliverables.
