What you'll do:
As Financial Controller based in Kuala Lumpur, you will take ownership of all aspects of finance operations within Malaysia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating closely with senior leaders to provide actionable financial insights that drive strategic decisions. - Serve as a strategic partner to the Country Leadership Team by providing comprehensive financial insights and recommendations that support critical business decisions.
- Drive overall business performance by leading financial planning, analysis, and performance management processes that align with organisational objectives.
- Support commercial and operational initiatives by evaluating their financial implications and investment opportunities to maximise profitability.
- Guide efforts on profitability improvement, cost optimisation, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable business growth.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes while monitoring financial performance against set targets.
- Develop detailed financial models and scenario analyses to underpin strategic initiatives across various business units.
- Prepare and present monthly management reports as well as business performance reviews to senior stakeholders for informed decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all statutory financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards and group reporting requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls by ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
- Lead, coach, and develop the country finance team to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- A minimum of 12–15 years’ progressive experience in finance roles with at least 5 years spent in a leadership capacity is essential for success.

- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards including statutory compliance requirements ensures accuracy in all deliverables.
