What you'll do:
As a Senior Finance Analyst based in Penang, you will immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of a dynamic finance team. Your responsibilities span production accounting tasks such as updating standard costs and tracking labour metrics, as well as overseeing project cost allocations. You will be instrumental in managing inventory controls through regular reconciliations and physical audits while leveraging SAP systems for cost settlements. Month-end closings will see you preparing journal entries and generating insightful reports that inform business decisions. Your involvement in audits ensures compliance with regulatory standards while your commitment to process improvement fosters efficiency across the department. By participating in cross-training initiatives, you help build a resilient team capable of adapting to evolving business needs. - You will manage production accounting processes including updating standard costs, material master data, routing information, labour tracking, and comprehensive variance analysis reporting.
- You will oversee project cost accounting activities, ensuring accurate allocation and monitoring of expenses across multiple projects within the manufacturing or technology environment.
- You will control inventory accounts by performing reconciliations for raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, demo units, software assets, and service-related inventories.
- You will conduct physical count audits for inventory and fixed assets, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements.
- You will execute cost settlement runs in SAP systems to ensure proper allocation of production costs and maintain accurate financial records.
- You will prepare month-end journal entries, facilitate closing procedures, and generate detailed financial reports covering cost accounting, inventory management, and fixed asset tracking.
- You will reconcile inventory accounts regularly and provide roll forwards on inventory metrics to support transparent reporting and decision-making.
- You will participate actively in external and internal audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit queries related to finance operations.
- You will drive process improvements within the finance function by identifying areas for optimisation and collaborating with colleagues on cross-training initiatives.
- You will perform physical counts and tagging of fixed assets as required while taking on additional duties that support the overall objectives of the finance department.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—especially Excel—and hands-on experience with SAP/S4 Hana are mandatory requirements.
- Thorough understanding of production-driven environments enables you to navigate complex operational challenges effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage month-end accounting processes including preparation of detailed financial reports is highly valued.
