Accounting Manager (Malaysia)

What you'll do:

As an Accounting Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be entrusted with ensuring the integrity of all financial reporting while playing a key role in supporting both sales performance and customer experience objectives.

• Generate accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting reports that comply with legal requirements and support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to establish robust procedures that ensure timely financial reporting across the business.
• Oversee tax and VAT declarations and payments, guaranteeing full compliance with all relevant legal standards and deadlines.
• Develop cash flow forecasts to maintain optimal liquidity levels for ongoing operations and future planning.
• Lead the accounting department by recruiting, training, developing, and implementing succession plans for team members in line with company values.
• Drive process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and value delivery across the organisation.
• Utilise advanced Excel skills alongside SAP, VIM, and Concur systems to streamline accounting processes and reporting activities.

What you bring:

• Hold a recognised professional qualification such as CA, ACCA or AICPA with at least seven years’ experience in accounting roles.

• Exhibit excellent communication skills with a track record of successful stakeholder management involving auditors and regulatory bodies.
