Finance Manager (6 months contract) - Multilocation

A leading international school is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the full spectrum of accounting, financial reporting, statutory audit, tax, cashflow, and working capital planning.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee all day-to-day finance functions including record-to-report processes, accounts payables and receivables, cashflow management, tax compliance, and business partnering activities within the school
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial and management reporting that complies with governing standards as well as group requirements.
  • Prepare detailed analyses of Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets, including deferred income accounts, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, revenue recognition, discretionary spending, and capital expenditure.
  • Review all journal entry postings to guarantee accuracy and completeness across General Ledger and Sub-Ledger accounts.
  • Conduct month-end review analyses with the Campus Principal and Leadership Team, highlighting variances and facilitating action plans to address gaps to target.
  • Coordinate annual statutory audits by liaising with external auditors; ensure adherence to group policies as well as MFRS/IFRS requirements.
  • Respond promptly to statutory audit queries while reviewing proposed Adjusting Journal Entries and Reclassifying Journal Entries.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end finance functions within an educational or similar sector environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver timely financial reporting compliant with local standards (MFRS/IFRS) as well as group requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills for preparing Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, reconciliations, revenue recognition analyses, discretionary spending reviews, and capital expenditure monitoring.
  • Meticulous attention to detail when reviewing journal entries across General Ledger/Sub-Ledger accounts.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting complex financial information clearly to senior leadership teams and regional stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating statutory audits—including responding promptly to queries—and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate on annual budget development aligned with organisational goals; skilled at providing forecasts/projections for OPEX/CAPEX control.
  • Competence in monitoring cash collection targets daily; adept at ensuring sufficient funds are available for obligations; thorough review of supplier payments for proper segregation of duties.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement through identifying opportunities for process enhancement in financial management/reporting.
