What you'll do:

- Oversee all aspects of finance functions such as general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable processes, fixed asset accounting, taxation matters, treasury activities, and comprehensive financial reporting.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial statements that meet internal and external requirements.
- Prepare detailed management reports, conduct financial analysis, and develop performance dashboards for senior management review.
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans while monitoring actual performance against budgeted targets to support business objectives.
- Partner with operations, production, procurement, and supply chain teams to identify opportunities for improving profitability, cost efficiency, and overall operational performance.
- Review manufacturing costs including inventory valuation, standard costing methodologies, and cost variance analysis; provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict compliance with MFRS/IFRS standards as well as local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal control policies across all finance activities.
- Coordinate effectively with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and other regulatory stakeholders to facilitate audits and statutory reporting.
- Manage cash flow forecasting processes along with working capital optimisation strategies and treasury activities to maintain financial stability.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the finance function; drive transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and reporting quality.
- Lead by example in coaching and developing the finance team; foster operational excellence through supportive leadership practices.

- Speak, read and write in Mandarin is a must
- At least 8 years of proven experience in finance or accounting roles with a minimum of 3 years spent in managerial positions within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (MFRS/IFRS), budgeting techniques, forecasting methods as well as costing principles including inventory accounting.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics is essential for efficient workflow management.
- Good understanding of Malaysian tax regulations alongside statutory reporting requirements ensures compliance across all finance activities.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with clear communication abilities enable effective stakeholder management both internally and externally.
