- Collaborate with senior leaders and regional teams to provide actionable insights through budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance management, all within a nurturing and inclusive workplace.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Finance Manager based in Penang, you will be entrusted with overseeing complex group consolidations across multiple jurisdictions while ensuring strict adherence to international accounting standards. Success in this role means not only maintaining high standards of accuracy but also proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement while building strong connections across the organisation.
- Lead the complete group consolidation process across various entities and countries, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close in line with IFRS requirements.
- Strengthen financial closing discipline by implementing rigorous timelines, comprehensive checklists, and thorough reconciliations while enforcing robust internal controls throughout regional finance teams.
- Drive the annual budgeting cycle as well as mid-term strategic planning by aligning assumptions with overall business strategy and tracking variances against key metrics such as revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow.
- Own the quarterly rolling forecast process by delivering detailed variance analysis, scenario modelling, and providing actionable insights that support informed management decisions.
- Act as the primary liaison with external auditors by managing audit schedules, addressing technical accounting issues promptly, and ensuring clean audit outcomes every cycle.
- Champion finance transformation projects including ERP system optimisation, implementation of advanced consolidation tools, and automation of reporting workflows to improve both cycle time and data reliability.
- Establish scalable standard operating procedures (SOPs) and consistent reporting templates across different geographies to drive accuracy, efficiency, and uniformity in financial processes.
- Partner closely with senior leadership teams, regional finance colleagues, and investment stakeholders to deliver clear data-driven insights that inform strategic direction.
- Enhance the quality of management reporting packs by developing insightful dashboards and KPI tracking mechanisms focused on areas such as working capital management, margin analysis, and cash conversion rates.
- Mentor junior finance staff where applicable by coordinating deliverables across regional teams while fostering a collaborative environment focused on shared success.

- Proven track record of taking ownership over budgeting cycles, forecasting activities, and FP&A processes that directly link financial results to business performance is necessary.
- Experience leading finance transformation initiatives—including automation projects or new system implementations—will set you apart from other candidates.
- Exceptional analytical skills are needed so you can translate complex financial data into meaningful business insights that support effective decision-making.
- High attention to detail combined with the ability to operate efficiently under tight reporting deadlines is vital for maintaining accuracy across all deliverables.
