We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager with strong leadership capabilities to oversee and develop a high-performing finance team while ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day finance operations.

FINANCE MANAGER

We are currently partnering with an established and growing group to appoint a Finance Manager who will play a key role in strengthening the finance function and supporting the organisation's continued growth and transformation.

What you'll do:

• Assist the Senior Finance Manager in administering all daily functions of the Finance and Accounts Department while providing support across other departments within the group.
• Review all company financial statements with meticulous analysis to ensure accuracy, compliance, and insightful reporting for management’s consideration.
• Oversee the preparation, updating, and refinement of product costing processes, ensuring that the product Costing System remains robust and efficient.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated accounts for multiple entities within the group, upholding exemplary standards of accuracy and timeliness.
• Compile management accounts accompanied by detailed financial analyses and ad-hoc reports tailored to evolving business requirements.
• Support day-to-day finance operations including liaison with external parties such as auditors, bankers, and tax agents to facilitate seamless business processes.
• Supervise government statutory reporting obligations by preparing submissions to regulatory bodies such as MIDA, Custom Office, Bank Negara Malaysia, among others.
• Plan, coordinate, and mentor finance subordinates on daily finance activities as well as administrative matters to cultivate a cohesive team environment.
• Undertake any additional assignments or projects delegated by directors or management, demonstrating adaptability and readiness to contribute wherever necessary.

What you bring:

• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in accounting or finance which forms the foundation of your technical expertise.
• Demonstrate five to ten years of relevant experience managing full set accounting duties ideally within the retail sector for optimal alignment with business needs.
• Exhibit proficiency in utilising accounting software such as SQL or ERP systems alongside advanced Microsoft Office capabilities for seamless workflow integration.
• Display strong analytical acumen coupled with meticulous attention to detail ensuring high levels of accuracy in all financial deliverables.
• Possess familiarity with inventory management practices as well as cost accounting principles.
• Maintain a sound understanding of GST/SST regulations together with other relevant tax laws.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing when engaging with internal teams or external partners such as auditors or tax agents.
