What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager based in Ahmedabad, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health of the organisation’s India operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve overseeing all aspects of finance—from managing accounting operations to preparing comprehensive financial reports. You will collaborate closely with both local teams and international counterparts to ensure seamless consolidation of data while maintaining strict compliance with statutory requirements. By monitoring project performance metrics such as revenue recognition and cost tracking, you will provide valuable insights that drive business success.   • Oversee the entire range of finance and accounting functions for India operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all processes.
  • Manage daily accounting operations such as general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable processing, bank reconciliations, and financial closings.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, cash flow forecasts, project costing analyses, and financial reviews to support business operations and management decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements including tax regulations (GST, TDS), audits, and other regulatory obligations in India.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, bankers, company secretaries, and government authorities on finance-related matters.
  • Monitor project financial performance by tracking revenue recognition, cost control measures, profitability assessments, and budget variance analysis.
  • Strengthen internal controls as well as financial processes and reporting systems to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with the headquarters finance team in Malaysia for timely consolidation of reports and adherence to group finance policies.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Accounts & Finance team in India while supporting their professional development through mentoring and training.
  • Assist management in strategic planning initiatives by providing business analysis insights and supporting financial decision-making processes.
  • Handle any additional finance, accounting or administrative duties assigned by management as required.

The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager position brings extensive experience gained from at least ten years working within finance or accounting roles—ideally in construction or multinational project-based settings. Your academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree complemented by professional qualifications such as CA/CPA/ACCA which further enhance your technical expertise. You have successfully managed full-set accounts encompassing budgeting procedures as well as cash flow oversight. Familiarity with project accounting principles allows you to navigate complex cost control scenarios efficiently. Your proficiency with various accounting systems—including Microsoft Office applications—ensures smooth operational execution.   • Experience with project accounting practices such as cost control measures and commercial finance functions is considered advantageous for this position.
  • Proficiency in using accounting systems alongside Microsoft Office applications ensures efficient workflow management.
  • Knowledge or prior experience with IFCA system would be an added advantage for streamlined reporting capabilities.
