Finance Manager

What you'll do:

As Finance Manager, you will play an integral role in steering the financial health of a rapidly growing multi-site business.

• Oversee all financial operations across more than 20 entities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and effective cash flow management.
• Manage and develop a finance sub-team including Assistant Finance Manager, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Financial Controller functions.
• Implement robust financial controls while navigating manual and partially automated accounting environments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements across multiple currencies and entities, providing timely insights to senior leadership.
• Ensure full compliance with Malaysian tax laws, audit requirements, SST regulations, and internal policies across all business units.
• Drive accountability within the finance team by setting clear expectations for AP, AR, and assistant managers while fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
• Support the CFO and Regional Finance Manager with strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis for ongoing expansion projects.
• Identify process improvement opportunities within existing manual or hybrid systems to enhance automation without disrupting daily operations.
• Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory bodies during audits or reviews.
• Contribute to system upgrades or automation initiatives by sharing practical insights from hands-on experience in complex environments.

What you bring:

To excel as Finance Manager in this dynamic environment, you will bring substantial experience managing complex finances across multiple companies—preferably within fast-scaling businesses like retail, F&B, fitness chains or hospitality groups.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting plus ACCA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification is required.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent) is highly preferred for candidates applying for this role.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a senior finance management role overseeing multi-entity or multi-site operations within sectors such as fitness, retail, hospitality or F&B.
• Proven track record managing at least ten entities simultaneously—ideally twenty or more—with direct responsibility for AP, AR, and Financial Controller functions.
• Expertise operating within manual or hybrid accounting environments; comfortable adapting processes where full automation is not present.
