Assistant Finance Manager

Job Overview We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to support the overall finance operations of the company. This role will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and team management while supporting the business in driving continuous improvements across the finance function. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions including GL, AP, AR, treasury, and month-end closing activities.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management reports and financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal company policies.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor cash flow and support treasury management functions.
• Review reconciliations and ensure proper maintenance of accounting records.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls within the finance function.
• Lead, guide, and mentor finance team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support finance-related projects, system implementations, and automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, etc.).
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant working experience in finance and accounting.
• At least 3 years of leadership or people management experience.
• Able to speak, read, and write in Mandarin to support Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, and compliance requirements.
• Prior experience in audit and commercial environment would be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and perform under tight timelines.
