What you'll do:
As Chief Financial Officer based at the Group Finance Corporate Office in Kuala Lumpur, you will be responsible for steering the organisation’s financial direction through strategic planning and execution. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with executive leaders to advise on capital structure decisions while overseeing group-wide budgeting processes. You will play a central role in preparing for IPO by coordinating due diligence efforts and engaging investors alongside legal advisors. Ensuring accurate consolidated reporting across multiple jurisdictions is essential to maintaining compliance with international standards. You will manage treasury operations including cash flow optimisation and banking relationships while establishing robust risk management frameworks that safeguard against credit or FX exposures. Tax strategy oversight will require coordination with advisors to optimise cross-border structures. Leading finance teams across Asia and Europe means nurturing talent pipelines and fostering an environment of transparency where continuous improvement is encouraged. Success in this role hinges on your ability to integrate complex financial operations across diverse markets while supporting organisational growth objectives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies that align with business goals and IPO objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability across all subsidiaries.
- Lead group-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes while advising the Board and CEO on capital structure, performance metrics, and strategic investments.
- Drive financial discipline by implementing operational efficiencies and value creation initiatives throughout the organisation’s global footprint.
- Coordinate all aspects of IPO preparation including due diligence, audit readiness, prospectus development, and investor engagement in partnership with legal and investment banking advisors.
- Oversee timely consolidated financial reporting for the Group and subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with IFRS/SGX standards as well as local regulations in each jurisdiction.
- Maintain strong internal controls by liaising with external auditors, tax authorities, regulatory agencies, and ensuring audit compliance across all entities.
- Manage capital structure, financing arrangements, banking relationships, cash flow optimisation, foreign exchange exposure, intercompany funding, and liquidity requirements.
- Establish robust risk management frameworks covering credit, liquidity, FX risks; strengthen corporate governance; support Audit Committee on compliance matters.
- Oversee tax strategy including transfer pricing, cross-border structuring, international tax optimisation; ensure compliance with tax laws in Singapore and other operating regions.
- Mentor finance teams across subsidiaries to build high-performing collaborative functions; develop succession plans; foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline is required for this position.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, CA or ACCA is mandatory to demonstrate technical proficiency.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles including at least 5 years as Group CFO or Regional CFO is essential.
- Proven track record in manufacturing or automotive-related industries is highly desirable for understanding sector-specific challenges.
- Demonstrated experience in IPO preparation or listed company reporting is crucial for success in this role.
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS), tax frameworks and cross-border financial management is necessary.
- Experience managing multi-country finance teams across Asia or emerging markets will be advantageous for effective oversight.
- Exceptional analytical skills combined with excellent communication abilities are vital for stakeholder engagement.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional Asian languages such as Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesia or Russian would be beneficial.
