This is an exceptional opportunity for you to bring your extensive experience and strategic insight to a company that values collaboration, professional growth, and supportive leadership. You will be at the heart of decision-making, guiding the Board of Directors with insightful analysis and ensuring robust financial health across all operations. If you are looking for a role where your expertise will be valued and your impact felt across the entire business, this is your chance to join a team committed to excellence and inclusivity.

  • You will have the opportunity to influence high-level strategy by providing expert financial guidance directly to the Board of Directors, ensuring that your insights shape the direction of the organisation.
  • The company fosters a culture of support and continuous learning, generous pension contributions, and access to ongoing training opportunities so you can continue to develop your skills.
  • You will lead a knowledgeable finance team in an inclusive environment where your interpersonal skills and commitment to nurturing talent will be highly valued.

What you'll do:

As Finance Director, you will be entrusted with overseeing every aspect of the organisation’s financial management. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with key stakeholders such as the Company Secretary for board-level documentation; reporting directly to senior leadership on performance metrics; designing forward-thinking budgets; preparing statutory accounts; managing risk exposure; optimising cash flow; analysing cost structures; evaluating investments; ensuring tax compliance; enhancing systems; and nurturing a talented finance team. Success in this position requires not only technical proficiency but also an ability to communicate complex information clearly, build trust across departments, and inspire those around you. Your efforts will underpin strategic decisions that drive sustainable growth while maintaining operational excellence.

  • Collaborate closely with the Company Secretary to ensure timely preparation of Directors’ Circular Resolutions and other critical documents required at Board level.
  • Report regularly to the Board of Directors on all aspects of financial performance, providing clear analysis and recommendations for action.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, standard costing systems, and forecasts that align with strategic initiatives and long-term business objectives.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and detailed analyses for internal stakeholders as well as investors and regulatory authorities.
  • Identify, assess, and manage financial risks while implementing effective strategies to mitigate potential impacts on the organisation’s stability.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements to optimise overall financial performance and ensure all obligations are met efficiently.
  • Analyse manufacturing cost drivers in detail to support operational efficiency and profitability across production processes.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities through rigorous financial analysis, providing recommendations that maximise returns while managing risk within investment portfolios.
  • Oversee tax planning activities by developing strategies that minimise liabilities while ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Implement robust financial systems and processes designed to enhance accuracy, efficiency, transparency, and compliance throughout all finance functions.
  • Lead a high-performing finance team by providing guidance, mentoring, support, and development opportunities that foster professional growth.

What you bring:

Your proven track record as a Finance Director or similar senior finance leader means you bring not only technical expertise but also emotional intelligence—enabling you to connect with colleagues at all levels. You are adept at interpreting complex regulations such as IFRS/IAS/Company Law while remaining sensitive to organisational needs. Your collaborative approach ensures that others feel supported under your guidance. You have successfully managed large teams through periods of transformation by sharing knowledge generously and encouraging open communication. Your analytical mindset allows you to identify trends early on while your interpersonal skills help build consensus around new initiatives. Experience with system enhancements means you understand how technology can streamline workflows without sacrificing compliance or accuracy. Above all else, your commitment to ethical practice ensures trust from both internal stakeholders and external partners alike.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is essential for this role; an MBA or CPA qualification would be highly regarded as it demonstrates advanced knowledge.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience within finance roles is required, including a minimum of 5 years spent in a senior leadership capacity where you have guided teams through change.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and Company Law is necessary for success in this position.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities combined with strong strategic thinking skills enable you to interpret complex data sets into actionable insights for decision-makers.
  • In-depth familiarity with core financial principles, industry regulations, best practices in governance, risk management frameworks, and compliance standards is expected.
  • Outstanding communication skills allow you to present information persuasively at board level while fostering positive relationships throughout the organisation.
  • Proven ability to nurture talent through supportive leadership—mentoring team members towards their professional goals within an inclusive environment is highly valued here.
  • Experience implementing or upgrading financial systems/processes that improve efficiency without compromising accuracy or transparency is important for this role.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing tax planning activities—including strategy development and compliance oversight—is essential for minimising liabilities responsibly.
