What you'll do:

• You will take ownership of budgeting processes, monitor performance against targets, and provide actionable insights that inform key business decisions.
• In addition to managing statutory reporting requirements and ensuring audit readiness, you will lead integration efforts following acquisitions and champion best practices in tax compliance.
• Your responsibilities extend to developing long-term strategic plans for each school, evaluating capital investments through rigorous scenario modelling, and optimising cash flow management in collaboration with Group Treasury.
• Lead post-acquisition integration of new schools from a financial perspective, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with organisational goals.

The ideal candidate for the Finance Director position brings extensive experience in finance leadership within complex environments such as education or multi-site organisations.

• Strong track record in commercial business partnering, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive growth initiatives such as enrolment and pricing strategies
• Demonstrated success in leading post-acquisition financial integration, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with organisational objectives
• Experience in developing and executing long-term strategic and financial plans, including scenario modelling and investment evaluation
• Proven leadership capability, with experience building, mentoring, and leading high-performing finance teams, particularly through periods of change and transformation
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively at senior leadership level
