What you'll do:

As Chief Financial Officer based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be responsible for steering the overall financial direction of the organisation. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing complex finance operations across multiple countries while ensuring group consolidation processes run smoothly.

• Oversee all aspects of finance, accounting, treasury, tax, budgeting, and financial planning functions for the Group, ensuring robust governance and compliance frameworks are maintained.
• Manage finance operations across various countries and entities, including group consolidation processes, intercompany transactions, and preparation of regional financial reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly management accounts, financial statements, forecasts, cash flow reports, and board-level reporting materials.
• Drive initiatives in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management to support sustainable business growth and enhance profitability.
• Work collaboratively with operational and commercial teams to improve operational efficiency, productivity, financial performance, and facilitate informed business decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance across different business units to identify opportunities for operational improvement, cost optimisation strategies, and margin enhancement.
• Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, taxation regulations, audit standards, and financial reporting obligations across all operating entities.
• Oversee treasury management activities including banking facilities administration, cash flow planning, working capital optimisation, and financial risk mitigation.
• Support strategic initiatives such as business expansion projects, restructuring efforts, investments evaluation, and corporate exercises as required by the organisation.
• Liaise effectively with auditors, tax agents, bankers, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth external relationships and compliance.
• Lead the finance and accounting team by mentoring staff members while driving accountability and fostering high performance within the department.
• Provide strategic financial insights along with commercial recommendations to support management decisions at both executive and board levels.

What you bring:

To excel as Chief Financial Officer you bring substantial experience gained from senior positions within multinational organisations or groups operating internationally. Your deep understanding of complex finance operations ensures seamless group consolidation processes alongside effective intercompany transaction management.

• Strong knowledge of statutory requirements relating to taxation regulations audit standards financial reporting obligations is required.
• Demonstrated ability in preparing monthly management accounts forecasts cash flow reports board-level materials accurately on time every month is vital.
• Expertise in driving financial planning budgeting forecasting cost management initiatives that support business growth profitability is expected from candidates applying for this role.
