What you'll do:
As General Manager, Finance, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of financial management for one of Malaysia’s most prominent real estate developers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of accurate financial reports that comply with both internal standards and external regulations. You will play an instrumental role in budgetary planning cycles by coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders while maintaining rigorous oversight of expenditure controls. * Prepare and review entity-level papers including dividend declarations, related party transactions, audit fees, and other statutory submissions as required by stakeholders.
* Assess the financial impact of corporate proposals by conducting thorough analysis and presenting clear recommendations to senior management.
* Analyse financial performance metrics and key business drivers to support informed decision-making across various departments within the organisation.
* Coordinate annual financial budgeting processes by engaging relevant stakeholders, reviewing submissions, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
* Review pricing papers, feasibility studies, and project-level financial assessments to evaluate potential investments or new developments within the property portfolio.
* Oversee township project costing processes including cost allocation reviews to maintain transparency and control over project expenditures.
* Supervise bank reconciliations, receivables management, unrecorded liabilities identification, and maintenance of comprehensive property lists for accurate record-keeping.

* Demonstrate extensive experience in financial reporting under Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) as well as familiarity with Companies Act requirements relevant to large organisations.
* Showcase proven ability in managing tax compliance activities including preparation of statutory returns and handling complex regulatory obligations within the property sector or similar industries.
* Exhibit strong analytical skills through previous involvement in assessing corporate proposals’ financial impacts or conducting detailed feasibility studies for major projects.
* Display excellent communication abilities when preparing entity-level papers such as dividend declarations or related party transaction documentation for board review.
* Bring hands-on experience coordinating annual budgeting processes involving multiple stakeholders while ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and budgetary controls.
* Have practical knowledge of reviewing project costing methodologies including cost allocation practices specific to township developments or large-scale construction initiatives.
