Director of Investment (Real Estate Company)

A real estate organisation in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Director of Investments to join their team. You will be at the forefront of identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisition, disposal, and portfolio enhancement opportunities, while also driving transformation initiatives that reposition the business for continued success.

What you'll do:

• Oversee the entire investment process from identification through evaluation and execution of acquisition, disposal, and portfolio enhancement opportunities.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the management team, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
• Establish robust investment frameworks, governance processes, and internal controls to safeguard assets and optimise performance.
• Support corporate exercises such as mergers and acquisitions, fundraising activities, and other strategic transactions.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to ensure effective communication and seamless execution of investment strategies.
• Monitor market trends and analyse data to inform decision-making on new investments or divestments.
• Foster a culture of collaboration within the team by encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Represent the organisation in external meetings with partners, investors, and regulatory bodies.

What you bring:

• Minimum 15 years of experience focused on real estate, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, or related corporate exercises.
• Proven track record in leadership roles with a hands-on management style that encourages collaboration among teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills demonstrated through successful communication with internal teams and external partners.
• Experience supporting complex corporate exercises including M&A transactions, fundraising efforts, or strategic business repositioning.
• Advanced analytical skills for monitoring market trends and evaluating potential investment opportunities.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in training programmes or industry events.
