What you'll do:
As a Senior Finance Analyst (General Ledger), you will be responsible for overseeing critical aspects of the general ledger and tax functions within the finance department. Your day-to-day activities will involve preparing detailed profit and loss accounts, compiling management reports for balance sheet reviews, converting currency ledgers for local reporting needs, supervising administrative tasks, resolving system-related issues, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, preparing audit schedules, generating consolidation reports, handling communications with key stakeholders such as company secretaries and tax agents, as well as preparing accurate tax provisions. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to upholding high standards of financial integrity. You will also be expected to keep track of industry trends related to tax regulations and prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns.
- Prepare and present timely actual versus last month profit and loss accounts, ensuring accuracy and clarity for management review.
- Compile accurate monthly management reports for balance sheet review purposes, supporting informed decision-making across the finance department.
- Convert USD general ledger entries to EUR or MYR as required for year-end local reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with international standards.
- Supervise and assist in managing daily administrative functions within the department, including providing data for local government bodies when needed.
- Address and resolve issues related to the general ledger and Oracle system, maintaining smooth operations and minimising disruptions.
- Ensure strict compliance with corporate finance policies and execute controls outlined in SOX documentation to uphold audit standards.
- Prepare for external audits by compiling tax schedules and supporting quarterly and annual audit processes with comprehensive documentation.
- Generate consolidation reports to support annual audits and reporting requirements, facilitating transparent communication with stakeholders.
- Handle communications with company secretary on all matters related to finance administration, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax provisions as well as tax returns and forecasts for estimating tax payables.
