What you'll do:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Procure to Pay (PTP) team, ensuring all activities are planned, organised, and executed according to agreed business requirements.
  • Provide clear guidance and support to team members by clarifying business objectives, sharing knowledge, and ensuring everyone is equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Monitor team performance closely by setting targets, conducting regular reviews, implementing quality control measures, and addressing any deviations from established standards.
  • Foster a collaborative approach within the team as well as with shared service centres and business stakeholders to deliver seamless processes that add value across the organisation.
  • Work closely with regional and global internal control teams to ensure all compliance controls are performed accurately, assessed regularly, closed efficiently, and remediated promptly when necessary.
  • Participate actively in forums with country, regional, and global leads to discuss process clarifications and improvements while maintaining open channels for feedback.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation by engaging with your team and leadership to suggest enhancements and implement best practices that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure strict adherence to relevant policies, controls, thresholds, standard operating procedures, and maintain comprehensive documentation for work instructions.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for PTP processes by supporting new activity transitions in collaboration with business process owners.
  • Promote an inclusive team environment where open communication is encouraged and every member feels supported in their professional growth.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; equivalent professional qualifications or substantial experience will also be considered for this role.
  • A minimum of eight years’ experience in finance or accounting functions with significant exposure to Procure to Pay processes is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential for effective reporting and analysis.
  • Experience using Oracle Cloud or similar enterprise resource planning systems would be advantageous for streamlining financial operations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills enabling you to interpret financial data accurately, identify trends quickly, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Outstanding organisational abilities allowing you to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail across complex workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills which foster trustful relationships within your team as well as with external stakeholders at various levels.
  • Proven track record of directly supervising teams of 15 or more members within a cluster or country context is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within a finance department ensures accountability for results.
  • A history of successful performance management over two to five years including setting metrics, conducting assessments, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement.
