What you'll do:

  • Execute month-end and year-end accounts receivable closing processes with precision to ensure maximum accuracy and timeliness for all financial records.
  • Oversee the end-to-end collection processes for corporate and private events, ensuring that all payments are received promptly and efficiently.
  • Supervise daily cash and digital collections across multiple business outlets, maintaining flawless reconciliation between physical receipts and digital transactions.
  • Prepare comprehensive aging reports and collection summaries for management review, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously streamline collection workflows to minimise outstanding debts and accelerate company cash flow through process improvements.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and facilitate resolution of disputed receivables.
  • Collaborate closely with other finance team members to share best practices, support each other’s work, and maintain high standards of accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations across all financial activities related to collections.
  • Utilise advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) for heavy data analysis required in reporting and reconciliation tasks.
  • Leverage AutoCount accounting software proficiency to manage financial data efficiently while adhering to company policies.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required for this position.
  • Proven experience in accounting specifically within the hospitality or F&B industry is essential for success in this role.
  • Possession of or active pursuit of ACCA or CPA qualifications is highly recommended and preferred by the client.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCount accounting software is mandatory for efficient management of financial data.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are necessary for heavy data analysis tasks involved in reporting and reconciliation.
  • Experience with Power BI is considered a strong advantage when analysing complex datasets for management insights.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is crucial when handling large volumes of financial data during reconciliations and reporting activities.
  • High level of accuracy must be maintained throughout all aspects of accounts receivable management and collections processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills are needed to collaborate effectively with team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement is important as you help streamline workflows and enhance overall efficiency within the finance function.
