Network Observability Engineer

We are seeking a Network Observability Engineer to support a Global Network & Telco service provider in Kuala Lumpur. This role focuses on supporting a Network Observability product that monitors critical applications, analysing network traffic, resolving technical issues to enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless operations while contributing to the development of innovative solutions for network observability.

What you'll do:

• Conduct daily monitoring and testing of critical applications, system health, logs, and alarms.
• Analyse application traffic using tools like Wireshark, simulators, MRTG, PRTG, and SNMP polling to identify and resolve issues.
• Design new solutions for Network Observability in monitoring and detecting grey critical apps/protocol traffic.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively address potential challenges.
• Act as the primary point of contact for escalations, updates, and issue resolution between customers and internal teams.
• Offer hands-on support with equipment and tools in a dynamic work environment.

What you bring:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Network related web application concepts (P2P, VoIP, WAP) and protocols (DHCP, SIP, RTP).
• Experience in Unix, Linux, Scripting & Programming is highly beneficial.
• Experience with Quality Assurance testing methodologies.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively under pressure.
• A customer-focused approach with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
