Technical Lead - NEA Market

About the role: We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to oversee application development, provide technical guidance to the development team, and ensure the stability and security of business-critical applications supporting the NEA Market. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, managing technical issues, supporting project delivery, and maintaining high standards of software development and application support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the development team, including task prioritisation, technical guidance, code reviews and delivery oversight.
• Support day-to-day application operations and ongoing project activities for the NEA Market.
• Manage production incidents, application issues and security-related matters, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support application releases and ensure smooth project delivery.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Drive solution design, architecture reviews and software development best practices.
• Ensure code quality, testing standards and risk management throughout the development lifecycle.
• Coordinate knowledge transfer, transition and handover activities.
• Provide standby support for urgent production incidents outside normal working hours when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of application development experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a Technical Lead or team leadership role.
• Strong technical experience in .NET, Java, Node.js, TypeScript and RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, system integration and software architecture.
• Experience in production support, incident management and security remediation.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments and managing software releases.
• Mandarin-speaking ability is required to support NEA Market stakeholders.
