Senior Manager, Integral Life Delivery Management

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Integral Life Delivery Management to lead a team responsible for the delivery, enhancement, maintenance and support of Integral Life / Life Asia applications within the life insurance environment. The role combines technical leadership, application delivery and people management, working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure stable and effective application delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of developers supporting Integral Life applications.

• Oversee both BAU and project delivery activities.

• Provide technical direction and guidance on Integral Life / Life Asia, COBOL and AS400/IBM i applications.

• Lead requirements gathering, impact analysis and solution proposal activities.

• Oversee application development, code reviews, unit testing and implementation.

• Manage UAT and EOD batch activities.

• Oversee application deployment and production implementation.

• Manage production incidents, troubleshooting and resolution.

• Assess interfacing and downstream/upstream application impacts.

• Work closely with business users, project teams and other stakeholders.

• Ensure application delivery follows established SDLC, security and compliance requirements.

• Coach, mentor and develop team members.

• Manage team performance, resource planning and workload allocation.

• Provide regular updates on application, project and operational activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of application development experience within the life insurance domain.

• Strong hands-on experience with Integral Life / Life Asia COBOL.

• Strong technical knowledge of:

  • AS400 / IBM i

  • COBOL

  • SMART/400

  • Control Language (CL)

  • SQL

• Proven experience leading and managing a team of developers or relevant technical professionals.

• Experience in coaching, mentoring, resource planning and performance management.

• Strong experience in application support, troubleshooting and incident resolution.

• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
