This role offers you the chance to work at the heart of retail investment applications, where your technical expertise will directly impact the quality and reliability of essential banking services. You will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design through to implementation, testing, and ongoing support.

What you'll do: As a .Net Developer, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where your day-to-day activities revolve around supporting mission-critical retail investment applications.

  • Take ownership of the entire software development process for transitioned work, including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, and support for retail investment applications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical resolutions by managing incident, problem, and knowledge management processes for core banking systems.
  • Provide comprehensive support to internal customers by efficiently resolving issues and maintaining strong communication throughout the process.
  • Oversee third-party product vendors and integration partners to ensure timely delivery of application code fixes with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Design and implement metrics for reporting on key performance indicators and quality benchmarks within the application landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with production support teams to conduct root cause analysis, review codebases, and perform thorough unit testing as needed.
  • Work with business stakeholders to manage and prioritize remediation efforts across the overall book of work for problem resolution and contribute to improvement initiatives.

What you bring: To excel as a .Net Developer you will bring substantial experience gained within financial services technology environments—particularly those involving investment or wealth management products. Your background should include significant exposure to MS SQL platforms alongside advanced .Net programming capabilities. Familiarity with React JS is highly valued given its importance within modern application stacks.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related discipline is required; additional professional or technical qualifications are considered advantageous.
  • A minimum of six years’ experience within banking or investment banking environments or information technology roles focused on investment and wealth products such as insurance, funds, bonds, unit trusts, or structured deposits.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL platform combined with hands-on experience in Dot Net (.Net) programming as well as React JS development.
  • Demonstrated functional and system knowledge relating specifically to investment and wealth management products within open systems environments (including Windows).
  • Proven track record in designing, developing, testing, implementing, supporting, and documenting applications according to change requests or project requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is essential for success in this collaborative setting.
  • Experience providing guidance or mentorship to junior developers; prior team lead experience is considered beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Commitment to quality assurance principles with an eye for detail when reviewing code or conducting root cause analyses.
