PROJECT MANAGER – SD-WAN MIGRATION

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a large-scale SD-WAN migration project. The successful candidate will work closely with the internal network team and the appointed technology vendor to coordinate project activities, site readiness, internal communications and technical workstreams throughout the migration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the overall SD-WAN migration project.
• Act as the key coordination point between the client's internal teams and the external SD-WAN vendor.
• Coordinate project schedules, milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
• Support the vendor in planning and coordinating site preparation activities.
• Coordinate internal communication and ensure stakeholders are aligned on migration activities.
• Work closely with network teams to coordinate LAN configuration and readiness requirements.
• Track site readiness, technical dependencies, risks, issues and outstanding actions.
• Monitor vendor progress against the agreed migration plan and highlight potential delays or risks.
• Organise project meetings, maintain action trackers and provide regular project status updates.
• Support migration planning, implementation and post-migration activities.
• Escalate project risks and issues where required and drive them through to resolution.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant Project Management experience, preferably within network infrastructure or IT transformation projects.
• Proven experience managing network migration, SD-WAN, WAN or infrastructure transformation projects.
• Experience working with external technology vendors and internal technical teams.
• Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, stakeholder management and risk management.
• Experience coordinating site readiness / site preparation activities.
• Good understanding of LAN/WAN networking environments.
• Familiarity with Cisco-based LAN environments is highly advantageous.
• Exposure to Fortinet / FortiGate SD-WAN or WAN solutions is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills.
• Comfortable working in a fully on-site project environment.
