This role offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals with 1–3 years of experience who are eager to develop both technical and business acumen within a supportive environment. You will work closely with experienced system analysts, developers, and business stakeholders, gaining hands-on exposure to the full system development lifecycle.
What you'll do:
As a Junior System Analyst based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the IT team’s efforts to deliver robust system solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with senior analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse workflows, document processes, and translate needs into actionable specifications. You will be instrumental in preparing visual representations such as flowcharts and wireframes that help clarify project objectives. Additionally, you will coordinate testing activities—including UAT—and provide essential support during implementation phases by preparing user guides and training materials. Your involvement extends beyond deployment as you monitor post-launch issues, track bugs, assist with root cause analysis, maintain project tracking tools, support version control activities, and ensure all documentation remains accurate following any changes or enhancements. Success in this role requires a commitment to teamwork, attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies while contributing positively to the communal spirit of the organisation.
- Assist in gathering, analysing, and documenting business and system requirements from various stakeholders to ensure clarity and completeness.
- Review existing systems, processes, and workflows to identify areas for optimisation and improvement that align with organisational goals.
- Evaluate change requests by assessing their impact on system functionality, project scope, and delivery timelines in close collaboration with senior team members.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications that guide development teams towards effective solutions.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for systems, projects, and processes to support transparency and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Work closely with developers to ensure that system solutions meet business requirements and expectations through regular communication and feedback loops.
- Create system flowcharts, process diagrams, workflows, wireframes, and mock-ups to visually represent proposed changes or enhancements.
- Support UI/UX design activities by assisting with basic prototypes and screen designs using industry-standard tools.
- Coordinate and participate in system testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate solutions before deployment.
- Prepare user guides and training materials while providing support during system implementation and rollout phases.
