Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
This a growing bank, is seeking an experienced Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its enterprise-wide technology strategy, digital transformation, and innovation agenda. This pivotal role will focus on strengthening the bank’s technology backbone, accelerating digital adoption, and positioning the organisation as a trusted, future-ready financial institution.
What you'll do:
As Group CTO, you will work closely with the Group CEO, Board, and senior leadership to define and execute the bank’s technology roadmap. You will oversee enterprise architecture, digital platforms, and infrastructure modernisation while embedding innovation and resilience across the organisation. Beyond operational leadership, you will drive transformation programs, enhance cybersecurity and data capabilities, and ensure the bank competes effectively in a rapidly evolving financial services landscape.
• Shape and implement the bank’s group-wide technology and digital transformation strategy.
• Modernise core banking systems and accelerate adoption of digital platforms and cloud solutions.
• Strengthen cybersecurity, resilience, and compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
• Partner with business leaders to deliver customer-centric digital solutions and operational efficiencies.
• Build and mentor a high-performing technology team, fostering innovation and execution excellence.
• Oversee vendor, fintech, and ecosystem partnerships to accelerate technology adoption.
• Represent the bank in regulatory, industry, and partner forums as a technology leader.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Group CTO role combines deep technical expertise with commercial acumen and visionary leadership. You are a strategic thinker with a proven ability to deliver large-scale transformation, align technology with business growth, and lead organisations through change.
Key requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior CTO, CIO, or equivalent role in banking or financial services.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale technology transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of core banking systems, digital platforms, data analytics, and cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity, regulatory frameworks, and operational resilience.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including Board-level engagement.
• Inspirational leader with the ability to attract, develop, and retain top technology talent.
