Global Enterprise Applications Director

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Enterprise Applications Director to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage existing enterprise applications, support the implementation of SAP ERP systems, and develop metrics and monitoring standards across various business units for a global manufacturing and production company.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of ERP systems, exceptional project management skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. This position is based in Penang, Malaysia, offering a hybrid work model with occasional travel and is reporting to the Group Chief Information and Technology Officer.

What you'll do:

As a Global Enterprise Applications Director, your primary role will be managing existing enterprise applications operations and supporting processes. You will play a crucial part in implementing one SAP ERP system across all stakeholder groups. Your responsibilities will also include developing metrics, ensuring compliance with operational controlled documents, recommending improvements across various business units, and managing expectations. You will lead a team of professionals, fostering their skills through performance appraisal, career development, training, and succession planning. Your role will involve a high level of attention to deliver current and future projects.

• Develop and execute comprehensive ERP transformation blueprints within the assigned region.
• Lead, motivate, and influence the performance of the regional enterprise application team.
• Allocate resources according to workflow patterns and system needs to ensure high service levels.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Implement effective training and support programs for end-users to maximize system utilization and efficiency.
• Define and implement system and application access controls that conform with IT Security policy.
• Develop, track, and control the Enterprise Applications budget.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven experience in managing ERP implementations or large-scale IT projects.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar platforms.
• Experience in business process reengineering and change management.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
