Senior Oracle DBA

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to lead the engineering and governance of enterprise database platforms supporting mission-critical applications globally. This role focuses on designing, modernizing, securing, and optimizing databases across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise in Oracle technologies and infrastructure dependencies while driving innovation and continuous improvement in database operations.

Key Skills: Oracle Database technologies (RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN), Linux/Unix systems, database lifecycle management, performance tuning, automation (Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform), cloud platforms (AWS), ITIL-based service management

What you'll do:

• Engineer and maintain enterprise Oracle database platforms to ensure availability, scalability, security, and resiliency.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions using Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and related technologies.
• Optimize database performance through advanced diagnostics tools like AWR, ASH, ADDM.
• Lead modernization initiatives such as cloud adoption, automation (Infrastructure as Code), and platform optimization.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements through governance activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise projects and resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide technical leadership during major incidents and mentor engineers to promote excellence within the team.

What you bring:

• 8–12+ years of experience in enterprise database engineering or administration within large organizations.
• Expertise in Oracle Database technologies including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, Enterprise Manager.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, storage architecture, networking fundamentals, and virtualization.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across database, infrastructure, storage, OS layers.
• Experience with automation tools like Shell scripting, Python, Ansible, Terraform.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and Microsoft SQL Server is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder management and influencing technical decisions.
