Head of IT Operations (Banking)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and enhance network infrastructure, user endpoint & devices, and database engineering services.
2. Develop and mentor a high-performance team to meet organizational SLA and KPI requirements.
3. Collaborate with dependency teams (networks, storage, hardware suppliers) to prioritize project demands.
4. Configure hardware/software for end users and create best-practice documentation.
5. Handle escalations related to network infrastructure, user endpoint & devices, and database demands.
6. Assist engineers in troubleshooting technical issues.

Key Requirements:

1. Minimum 10 years in IT Application Operations; financial institution experience preferred but not mandatory.
2. At least 8 years of leadership and management experience.
3. Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
4. Expertise in cloud networks (AWS/Azure/Google).
5. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
6. Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.
7. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline.
8. Leadership & communication skills to drive accountability and stakeholder engagement.
9. Customer-focused approach to delivering IT services aligned with business needs.
