Lead, Wintel Infrastructure

A leading financial institution is seeking a Lead, Wintel Infrastructure to provide expert-level support for Virtualization Infrastructure and Wintel Servers. This role involves managing physical and virtual servers, ensuring system reliability and performance, and contributing to the design and deployment of IT infrastructure solutions. What you'll do:

• Lead the L1-L3 support team for Wintel servers (hardware and operating systems) and virtualization infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers (2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022) and virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere and Nutanix HCI systems.
• Conduct patching, updates, and security hardening for server OS and hardware.
• Monitor system reliability and performance; troubleshoot issues using tools like memory dumps, network traces, and performance counters.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical problems and participate in incident resolution across Tier 1/2/3 calls.
• Oversee system design and deployment projects while adhering to organizational standards and policies.
• Participate in audit management processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Engage with vendors for hardware/software delivery and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution as part of business continuity efforts.

What you bring:

• A higher diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 10 years of experience in Windows Server OS administration (2012 R2/2016/2019/2022) and VMware vSphere or other virtualization hypervisors.
• Experience with enterprise hardware such as HPE DL/BL servers, Dell PowerEdge systems, or Nutanix AHV/Prism Central.
• Preferred certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV), Nutanix Certified Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate (Data Center), Microsoft Certified Professional, Zerto Certified Associate.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware installation/troubleshooting (RAID setup, firmware upgrades), Windows OS maintenance (patching/updating), Active Directory management (GPO settings/DNS), virtualization concepts (VM creation/snapshots/migrations), and basic networking (DNS/DHCP/IP/VLAN).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams to resolve complex technical challenges effectively.
