IT Engineer (Banking)

A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to lead and manage its IT infrastructure and operations. This role offers the opportunity to oversee critical IT systems, ensure banking security compliance, and drive digital transformation initiatives within a dynamic banking environment.

What you'll do:

• Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of IT Infrastructure systems, operations and services.
• Manage IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage solutions, backups, and end-user support.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
• Drive IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, auditors, regulators, and external service providers.
• Prepare detailed IT reports, budgets, policies, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal audit requirements.

What you bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields (Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage).
• Minimum 7 years of progressive IT experience; experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Microsoft, Cisco or VMware are advantageous.
• Strong expertise in IT infrastructure management and enterprise systems within banking environments.
• Proven experience managing budgets, vendors, and large-scale technology projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong decision-making capabilities.
• Solid understanding of IT service management practices and business continuity planning principles.
