What you'll do:

As a SAP Finance and Controlling Consultant based in Sungai Buloh, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of financial operations through expert configuration and support of SAP FICO modules. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with both technical teams and business users to understand their unique challenges and deliver tailored solutions that drive operational excellence. You will be instrumental in facilitating smooth transitions during system upgrades or new implementations by providing clear communication, thorough documentation, and hands-on training.   • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse current processes, and recommend effective SAP FICO solutions tailored to organisational needs.
  • Configure, test, and implement SAP Finance and Controlling modules while ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices for financial reporting, cost control, asset management, and internal controls within the SAP environment.
  • Support end-users by delivering training sessions, creating user documentation, and offering day-to-day troubleshooting assistance as required.
  • Participate actively in project planning sessions, contributing insights on timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies for SAP-related initiatives.
  • Monitor system performance post-implementation, identifying areas for improvement and proactively addressing any issues that arise.
  • Liaise with IT teams to ensure data integrity, security compliance, and smooth operation of interfaces between SAP FICO and other business applications.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring accurate data flow between finance modules and supporting reconciliation efforts.

  • Strong understanding of core finance processes such as general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, cost centre accounting, profit centre accounting, and internal orders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences while building positive working relationships.
  • Experience conducting user training sessions, preparing detailed documentation, and providing responsive support throughout project lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with integration points between SAP FICO modules and other functional areas such as Materials Management (MM) or Sales & Distribution (SD).
  • A commitment to continuous learning demonstrated by keeping up-to-date with evolving SAP functionalities or relevant financial regulations.
