What you'll do:

As an ERP Transformation Consultant based in Kuala Lumpur, you will immerse yourself in one of the most significant SAP S/4HANA initiatives in the region. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating directly with executive leadership to set up robust governance structures while defining clear objectives for each phase of the programme. You will take ownership of developing detailed roadmaps that anticipate potential risks or gaps before they arise—ensuring seamless integration between business goals and technology solutions. * Define clear programme objectives, scope, workstreams, milestones, dependencies, and key deliverables to ensure all aspects of the transformation are aligned.
* Establish effective programme governance mechanisms including steering committees, reporting cadences, RAID management processes, decision forums, and escalation pathways.
* Develop and maintain an integrated transformation roadmap and comprehensive programme plan that addresses risks, dependencies, and gaps proactively.
* Prepare concise and commercially focused updates for senior leadership to keep all stakeholders informed of progress and challenges.
* Lead the coordination of delivery activities across business units and technology teams while managing relationships with system integrators and implementation partners.
* Oversee timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure momentum is maintained throughout the transformation lifecycle.
* Support partner selection processes as well as ongoing governance and performance management of external vendors.
* Ensure continuous alignment between business requirements, technology delivery efforts, and overall transformation objectives through regular stakeholder engagement.
* Establish change management strategies that assess organisational impacts, develop communication plans, coordinate training needs, facilitate adoption activities, and address resistance effectively.

What you bring:

To excel as an ERP Transformation Consultant in this role you will bring substantial hands-on experience from previous SAP S/4HANA projects—ideally within retail or similarly complex sectors. * Experience engaging directly with CIOs, CTOs, business executives, and other senior stakeholders on matters relating to digital transformation or organisational change.
* Deep understanding of ERP systems (especially SAP), business process redesigns, and best practices for managing organisational transitions.
* Expertise in setting up programme governance frameworks—including PMO structures—and implementing effective reporting mechanisms.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills complemented by strong facilitation abilities when running workshops or cross-functional meetings.
* Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery—managing both high-level planning discussions as well as operational execution details.
* Experience overseeing system integrators or implementation partners throughout various stages of ERP deployment projects.
* Comfortable operating independently in greenfield or early-stage transformation settings where ambiguity is common.
