IT Assurance Analyst
This newly created role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Assurance Manager and risk domain leads for Information Technology and Cyber Security, enhancing the second line of defence. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring compliance with policies and controls framework, coordinating internal control assessments, and identifying issues to ensure they are resolved within set deadlines.

What you'll do:
As an IT Assurance Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our client's information assurance and security initiatives. You will work closely with the Assurance Manager and other key stakeholders to enhance the second line of defence. Your role will involve facilitating the planning and managing the delivery of first line risk, assurance, and controls testing for Information Technology, Security, and Cyber risk domains. You will also drive proactive risk management by identifying control weaknesses, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring that action plans are in place to mitigate any identified issues.
- Facilitate planning and manage delivery of first line risk, assurance and controls testing for IT, Security and Cyber risk domain
- Drive proactive risk and controls management, including identification of control weaknesses and ensuring action plans are in place to mitigate identified issues
- Monitor remediation of issues along with first line control owners
- Produce regular reporting on the control environment and coordinate required evidence
- Carry out control assessments across IT and Cyber Security risk domain to provide assurance on conformance to policies and control frameworks
- Implement and monitor remediation efforts resulting from internal control assessment
- Support Assurance Manager in reporting risk events, policy deviations, risk exceptions, and engaging stakeholders on timely remedial actions
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this IT Assurance Analyst position brings a wealth of experience in information technology or a related field. You possess a Bachelor's degree in management information systems/information technology, Computer Science or Business (Accounting, Finance), with CISA or CISSP certifications being highly desirable. Your strong understanding of core IT processes coupled with your knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to the IT landscape will be crucial in this role. You have a proven track record of applying quality assurance methodologies and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in management information systems/information technology, Computer Science or Business (Accounting, Finance, or related)
- CISA, CISSP preferred
- Good understanding of core IT processes and knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to the IT landscape
- Experience applying quality assurance methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience designing and executing tests to validate application system controls which may require data analysis, code inspection and re-performance of system processes.
- Ability to analyse design of controls in context of IT controls such as security, availability performance
