ETL Data Analyst (Alteryx)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ETL Analyst to join a finance team on a 12-month contract based in KL, with an opportunity to be converted to a permanent staff at the end of the contract term. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring data integrity, driving process improvements, and contributing to financial reporting excellence, using tools such as Alteryx and SQL.

What you'll do:

As an ETL and Data Finance Analyst, your day-to-day activities will involve meticulous preparation of ETL data validation tasks as well as thorough reconciliation efforts to maintain high standards of data integrity. You will be instrumental in identifying issues early on, providing timely escalation when needed to avoid any disruption in financial closing cycles. You will be using tools such as Alteryx and SQL as part of your deliverables.

• Prepare pre- and post-load ETL data validation and reconciliation tasks using Alteryx to ensure accuracy and timeliness in all deliverables.
• Investigate discrepancies or issues as they arise during ETL processes, escalating matters when necessary to prevent delays in financial closing.
• Monitor unresolved issues closely and provide regular reports on potential risks that could impact month-end or year-end closing timelines.
• Ensure all documentation for ETL processes is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant standards.
• Work closely with colleagues across Finance, IT, Operations, and Actuarial departments to drive improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance throughout the organisation.

To excel as an ETL and Data Finance Analyst, you bring proven experience in managing end-to-end ETL processes using tools such as Alteryx alongside advanced SQL capabilities.
