• Lead comprehensive end-to-end data analysis for project initiatives, change requests, and business-as-usual enhancements within the banking domain.
• Conduct detailed root cause analysis on complex data issues and implement robust solutions using advanced SQL/HQL scripting techniques.
• Develop, optimise, and maintain sophisticated stored procedures, functions, and queries across Teradata, Oracle, and Hive platforms to ensure efficient data processing.
• Drive seamless data integration, transformation, and automation processes through effective use of UNIX/Linux shell scripting tools.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders including business users, data engineers, project managers, and regulatory teams to translate evolving business needs into precise technical specifications.
• Review and validate Business Requirement Documents (BRD) to extract critical data requirements while ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
• Perform thorough data gap analysis by comparing BRDs against existing Data Warehouse models to identify discrepancies and improvement opportunities.
• Execute meticulous data mapping, profiling, and modelling activities to guarantee high standards of data quality, consistency, and availability for reporting purposes.
• Contribute to the creation and validation of Functional Specification Documents (FSD) for all major data deliverables associated with key projects.
• Deliver accurate output datasets that meet stringent business requirements as well as local and international compliance standards.

• Extensive experience in enterprise-level data warehousing, modelling, analytics, and metadata management within the banking or financial services industry.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL/HQL programming as well as hands-on expertise with Teradata, Oracle databases, Hive environments, and Informatica tools.
• Demonstrated capability in developing complex stored procedures and optimising queries for large-scale datasets across multiple platforms.
• Proficient in UNIX/Linux shell scripting for automating integration and transformation processes within heterogeneous system landscapes.
• Comprehensive understanding of banking-specific data systems including regulatory reporting requirements and risk management frameworks.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities combined with excellent stakeholder communication skills for effective requirement gathering and documentation.
• Strong background in conducting detailed data profiling exercises as well as managing end-to-end data lineage across legacy and modern DWH environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline from a recognised institution is required.
• 10–12 years’ proven track record in Data Analytics or BI/Data Warehousing roles within banking or financial services sectors is essential.
• Experience leading major data initiatives or mentoring junior analysts; prior involvement in large-scale transformation or regulatory reporting projects is highly advantageous.
